The Buddhist believe in a special calendar which is called the lunar-solar. this calendar varies from countries to countries. the china, Vietnam and Korean new years falls between January and mid February, sri lanka, Burma, Thailand celebrate new years in April which is celebrated for three days from the first full moon in April, sometime and the Tibet new year is celebrated in march. New year in Buddhism is normally celebrated and acknowledged by visiting monasteries (buildings), light up candles and pray before their lord Buddha and other powerful gods. Believers wash the feet of their parents as a sign of respect and reverence. often in the Buddhist new years believers offer food to monks and bath any Buddha statues.
